Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

After landing the flight at TIA, a representative of Nepal High Trek will warmly receive you and will move towards the hotel arranged by Nepal High Trek. We will enjoy delicious dinner at night with a brief description of the upcoming trekking program to Annapurna Khayer Lake.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation

Today, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley with guide. After having breakfast, we visit Pashupatinath, which is regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva then to Bauddhanath known as Little Tibet. From Bauddhanath, we visit Swayambhunath known as Monkey Temple   which is an ancient religious place for Buddhist. After Swayambhunath, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. Finally, you will have dinner at hotel and stay there overnight.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m) – 7 Hours

Early morning, we will have a fresh breakfast and drive towards pokhara. The way goes through the Prithivi Narayan highway where we can see glimpsing the most panoramic view all around us. We can enjoy the leisure time at Pokhara visiting the beautiful lakes, caves, forest, temples and Mountain View point.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1577m) – 5 Hours

From Pokhara, we will take a jeep or taxi to reach at Nayapul. The drive goes for 43 kilometers. In our way we will view the beauty around the road. After getting off the bus, we will start walking trek and trek further towards Tikhedunga where we will spend night at one of the best hotel.

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675m) – 6 Hours

We will have breakfast and walk toward Ghorepani and pass the nearby suspension bridge along with dazzling waterfalls. Then we will reach Ulleri, a Magar village. We will continue to reach at Ghorepani. We will stay the night at Ghorepani at one of the best lodges.

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3120m) and trek back to Ghorepani and then to Tadapani(2675m) – 7 Hours

Today we will wake up early Poon hill view point. From viewpoint we will see an unbelievable view of combination of more than 8 mountains. After spending some time and taking some photos, we will again return back to Ghorepani. We will have breakfast and we will trek towards Tadapani. We will stay night at one of the best lodge.

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3350m) – 6 Hours

We continue leaving the main trail to ascend on less defined path through the forest. This area offers itself to explore and appreciate the magnificent mountain views and diverse flora and fauna. And we reach Dobato where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 08: Trek from Dobato to Chistibung (3000m) – 5 Hours

From Dobato, we move onto a ridge that follows from the very summit of Annapurna South per se. We further follow the trail to Kaligandaki valley finally reach Christibung where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 09: Trek from Chistibung to KhopraDanda (4020m) – 5 Hours

Today’s walk will be steady but comfortable in the morning. We rise through the forest and above the tree line. Enjoying the excellent views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna South and Annpurna I, and Tukuche Peak, we eventually reach the wonderful ridge called KhopraDanda to stay night.

Day 10: Trek from Khopra Danda to Khayar Base Camp (4620m) – 5 Hours

Today we head to Khayar Base Camp from KhopraDanda. We will walk up hill which may be little difficult. Then we will follow the trial of forest to reach Khayar base camp where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 11: Trek from Khayar Base Camp to KhopraDanda (4020m) – 5 Hours

For those who are feeling fit and quite enthusiastic as well, the trip to Khayar Lake High above is well worth the effort. We walk even close to the sheer cliff face of the Fang. We have to descend down to Khopradanda where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 12: Trek from KhopraDanda to Swata (2270m) – 5 Hours

Today, we descend steeply from our camp at KhopraDanda following the ridge line towards the Kali Gandaki. We will pass shrines used by pilgrims on their annual visit to the sacred lakes, and reach Swata where we stay overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Trek from Swata to Ghorepani (2853m) – 4 Hours

After having our breakfast in the morning, we start our journey today. A short walk brings us to Chitre. Following the zigzag trail and enjoying the excellent views of Dhaulagiri range, we finally reach at Ghorepani where we stay overnight at lodge.

Day 14: Trek from Ghorepani to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara – 4 Hours

Today is the final day of our trek. So, we follow our trail back to Nayapul from Ghorepani. From Nayapul, we take a short drive to Pokhara where we stay overnight at a guesthouse. We will spend leisure time in visiting local market.

Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara

And finally we will drive from Pokahra to Kathmandu. Early morning, we will go to Sarangkot for sunrise view. On a clear weather morning, the view of the Western Range of Himalayas is just superb. Return to Pokhara, have lunch and proceed to Kathmandu.

Day 16: Final Departure

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to march ourselves towards TIA. We have to reach at airport 3 hours before the flight. We will attend a small farewell program organized by Nepal High Treks. After then we will catch the flight to return back to the home country. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.

Q. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?

A. Absolutely! Our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. Outside of Terminal Hall, he will be displaying a play card of Nepal Everest Base Camp  Treks with your name on it.

Q. What type of accommodation do I expect while I am in Kathmandu & Mountain?

A. Excellent!! Our company will provide you five star category hotels in Kathmandu Radission Hotel and Del’ Annapurna or similar category with inclusive breakfast & best available accommodation duration the trekking as per your programs.

Q. What type of shape do I need to be for this trip?

A. This is suitable for average people who are good health & moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required however to get condition for this trip, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on journey. Person who is suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice with your doctor before considering the any trekking in Nepal. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

Q. What is the best time for Trek?

A. We recommend you anytime between 15th February to 15th June in spring & 15th September to 10th December in autumn and spring season is the best time for trek, however, rest of the months are okay and trekking can be done but not as much as nice comparing those season due to winter & raining respectably.But when you will be get leisure time that we can provide prime and suitable trip for you.

Q. Is the food/water safe to drink during the trek?

A. During in mountain, your expert guide will advise you on what you should and shouldn’t eat and drink. The food at the places you will be staying is all safe to eat. Water you can buy bottled or bring along purification tablets. Every lodges/guest house also serve both boiled and filtered water on cheaper price for you to treat accordingly.

Q. What is the weather & temperature like in mountain?

A. Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are generally warm. There will be snow during the month of December and February. It is important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions. Expect the unexpected! The temperature could be as high as 21 deg C to -10 deg C low.
