Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

The representatives from Nepal High Trek Pvt. Ltd. will welcome you at TIA. Then we will take you towards the hotel arranged by our company for the overnight stay. We will have discussion about trekking with delicious dinner.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation

Our first task of the day is to take trekking permit. Then we will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. Some of them are Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest and holiest Hindu temple; Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch we will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square where Kumari temple can be seen, the temple of Living goddess.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (830m) – 8 Hours

Today, we drive to Beni in early morning. It takes about eight hours to reach there. Our way will be through the mountains along the banks of Trishuli and Marshyangdi River to Pokhara. We drive further from Pokhara deeper into the mountains with the magnificent views of Annapurna ranges. We stay overnight at local lodge at Beni.

Day 04: Trek from Beni to Takam (1665m) – 6 Hours

From Beni, we will follow a gravel road to Darbang. It is about the distance of 24 kilometers. We eventually reach at Takam in easy way. It takes us just three hours walk away with towering Gurjal Himal. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 05: Trek from Takam to Lamsung (2250m) – 6 Hours

Enjoying the dramatic scenery on the way, we will walk toward Takam to Lamsung. People of this place are not used see foreigners. Besides this they have a lot of stories to tell about the insurgency in Nepal. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 06: Trek from Lamsung to Gurjaghat (3020m) – 7 hours

We climb through dense pine forest with musk deer darting in the undergrowth to reach Gurjaghat. We can enjoy the great view of Dhaulagiri range up to ChurenHimal in the west. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 07: Trek from Gurjaghat to Dhorpatan (2860m) – 5 Hours

Today, we cross Myagdi to Baglung and then into the former Tibetan Refugee camp of this region which is the entrance to Dhorpatan. This place only Hunting Reserve in Nepal. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 08: Trek from Dhorpatan to Nisi Dhor – 5 Hours

Dhorpatan is known as a paradise for birds. We can get to watch Danphes and other rare migratory species. It’s very hard to believe that people fought a war here. We will reach Nisi Dhor unknowingly. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 09: Trek from Nisi Dhor to Tallo Sera – 7 Hours

We cross over from Baglung to Rukum District. We can witness the dense forests all the way which is very beautiful. All the villages in this region are quite picturesque. Our night will be cool at tented accommodation.

Day 10: Trek from Tallo Sera to Rujhikhola – 6 Hours

From Tallo Sera, we walk to Lukum in Rukum district. Lukum is a village populated only by Magars and Dalits who have different culture. We can get some knowledge of them. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 11: Trek from Rujhikhola to Thabang (1975m) – 5 Hours

Today we trek to Thabang is known as the cradle of Maoist revolution. This place was damaged in army attacks. But there has been some development of infrastructure after the war ended. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 12: Trek from Thabang to Jalja La (3414m) – 5 Hours

From Thabang, we continue to Jalja La Pass and the highest point in Jalja La is Dharampani (3900m). From Dharampani, we can view the great views of Api Saipal in the west and Dhaulagiri at the east. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 13: Trek from Jalja La to Jelbang – 6 Hours

We move downward to the village of Jelbang. This village is ethnically mixed. So we can see different culture of people in this place. Our night will be cool because we spend night at tented accommodation.

Day 14: Trek from Jelbang to Suliochaur – 6 Hours

We finally get to Rolpa today district the ending point of our trekking. Rolpa was also a rebel base area and for many of ten years of insurgency under total control of Maoists. We stay overnight at local guesthouse in Suliochaur.

Day 15: Drive from Suliochaur to Kathmandu – 13 Hours

Today, we return back to Kathmandu from Suliochaur. It takes about 13 hours via bus to reach Kathmandu. We can see many beautiful things in our way. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 16: Final Departure

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to march ourselves towards TIA. We will attend a small farewell program organized by Nepal High Trek Pvt. Ltd. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.

Q. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?

A. Absolutely! Our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. Outside of Terminal Hall, he will be displaying a play card of Nepal Everest Base Camp  Treks with your name on it.

Q. What type of accommodation do I expect while I am in Kathmandu & Mountain?

A. Excellent!! Our company will provide you five star category hotels in Kathmandu Radission Hotel and Del’ Annapurna or similar category with inclusive breakfast & best available accommodation duration the trekking as per your programs.

Q. What type of shape do I need to be for this trip?

A. This is suitable for average people who are good health & moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required however to get condition for this trip, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on journey. Person who is suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice with your doctor before considering the any trekking in Nepal. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

Q. What is the best time for Trek?

A. We recommend you anytime between 15th February to 15th June in spring & 15th September to 10th December in autumn and spring season is the best time for trek, however, rest of the months are okay and trekking can be done but not as much as nice comparing those season due to winter & raining respectably.But when you will be get leisure time that we can provide prime and suitable trip for you.

Q. Is the food/water safe to drink during the trek?

A. During in mountain, your expert guide will advise you on what you should and shouldn’t eat and drink. The food at the places you will be staying is all safe to eat. Water you can buy bottled or bring along purification tablets. Every lodges/guest house also serve both boiled and filtered water on cheaper price for you to treat accordingly.

Q. I am alone ! Can I join in group?

Q. What is the weather & temperature like in mountain?

A. Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are generally warm. There will be snow during the month of December and February. It is important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions. Expect the unexpected! The temperature could be as high as 21 deg C to -10 deg C low.
