Shavapuri Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek

Shivapuri is one of the national park of Nepal; over here we can do trekking also with Nagarkot. Shivapuri Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek is one of the best short treks around Kathmandu Valley. While trekking in this region you will be offered places of whole Kathmandu valley with enjoyment of nature. Shivapuri Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek starts from Budhanilkantha the north of Kathmandu valley which is a holy shrine of Lord Vishnu sleeping on the snake from where we start our actual trek to Shivapuri village which lies on the north east part of the valley. Shivapuri National Park lies between subtropical and temperate climate zone where diverse vegetation are found.

Shivapuri National Park offers us various types of flora and fauna. You can know detail about the Pine species, Oak species, Utis species (Altus Nepal ensues), bamboo and rhododendron forests, and much other vegetation with rare animals like Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Indian Pangolian, Muntjac, Leopard, Common Langur, Large Indian Civet, and so on. Shivapuri village have the rich tradition and culture of the people due to which we cal experience their life style also. After Shivapuri, we will walk to Chisapani. It is a famous for panoramic viewpoint. You can view the spectacular views of Manaslu Ranges, Langtang Massif, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Everest, Annapurna Massif, Ganesh Himal Ranges, and many others peaks from Chisapani.

From Chisapani, we march to Nagarkot to Dhulikhel. It is also equally famous for the pleasant mountain views situated at the altitude of 2100m to 1100m above sea level. Nagarkot can be the best destination for tourists which is popular for its phenomenal views of sunrise and sunset. Nagarkot to Dhulikhel is descending trip as beautiful Mountain Views and easy trekking destination Banepa and Dhulikhel. We eventually return back to Kathmandu by viewing Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan. This marks the end of our Shivapuri Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trekking.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel

The representatives from Nepal High Trek Pvt. Ltd. will welcome you at TIA. Then we will take you towards the hotel arranged by our company for the overnight stay. We will have discussion about trekking with delicious dinner.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

Our first task of the day is to take trekking permit. Then we will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. Some of them are Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest and holiest Hindu temple; Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch we will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square where Kumari temple can be seen, the temple of Living goddess.

Day 03: Trek from Shivapuri to Chisapani (2194m) – 7 Hours

We make start from Shivapuri this morning. On the way, we have to pass through the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka. We will be refreshed by the panorama scene of mountains around us. We will enjoy the nature and we will eventually reach Chisapani. We will stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot (2175m) – 7 Hours

Early morning we trek to Nagarkot. We will follow through the way of Chauki Bhanjyang to reach Nagarkot at 2175m. Nagarkot is the most popular touring destinations in Nepal. From Nagarkot, we can enjoy the beautiful Himalayan ranges in the clear weather. You can also enjoy the best view of Kathmandu Valley from Nagarkot. We will stay at Hotel

Day 05: Trek from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel

Waking up early in the morning we can see the phenomenal sunrise views. If the weather is fine, you can have the best sunrise view from the Nagarkot Tower with the awe-inspiring views of snow-capped Himalayas. After taking breakfast trek to Dhulikhel.

Day 06: Drive from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu

Dhulikhel is imagination view point and tour destination out of Kathmandu valley such as blending Langtang Lirung, Dorje lakpa, Sisapangma and Gauri sankar Himayan range. Above 7000m from the sea level, after the breakfast two hours drive to Kathmandu overnight at hotel

Day 07: Final Departure

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to march ourselves towards TIA. We will attend a small farewell program organized by Nepal High Trek Pvt. Ltd. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.

Q. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?

A. Absolutely! Our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. Outside of Terminal Hall, he will be displaying a play card of Nepal Everest Base Camp  Treks with your name on it.

Q. What type of accommodation do I expect while I am in Kathmandu & Mountain?

Q. What type of shape do I need to be for this trip?

A. This is suitable for average people who are good health & moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required however to get condition for this trip, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on journey. Person who is suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice with your doctor before considering the any trekking in Nepal. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

Q. What is the best time for Trek?

A. We recommend you anytime between 15th February to 15th June in spring & 15th September to 10th December in autumn and spring season is the best time for trek, however, rest of the months are okay and trekking can be done but not as much as nice comparing those season due to winter & raining respectably.But when you will be get leisure time that we can provide prime and suitable trip for you.

Q. Is the food/water safe to drink during the trek?

A. During in mountain, your expert guide will advise you on what you should and shouldn’t eat and drink. The food at the places you will be staying is all safe to eat. Water you can buy bottled or bring along purification tablets. Every lodges/guest house also serve both boiled and filtered water on cheaper price for you to treat accordingly.

Q. I am alone ! Can I join in group?

Q. What is the weather & temperature like in mountain?

A. Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are generally warm. There will be snow during the month of December and February. It is important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions. Expect the unexpected! The temperature could be as high as 21 deg C to -10 deg C low.
