Q. Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?

A. Absolutely! Our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. Outside of Terminal Hall, he will be displaying a playing card of Nepal High Trek with your name on it.

Q. What type of accommodation do I expect while I am in Kathmandu & Mountain?

A. Excellent!! Our company will provide you with 3 start-level basis hotels in Kathmandu and the best tea house accommodation throughout the trip.

Q. how do pay for the trip in advance or full payment via bank wire transfer?

A. Regarding the payment for the trip in advance and full payment you can pay via wire bank transfer. Besides bank wire transfer you can pay the trip deposit by online payment.

Q. How much should I pay for the trip in advance?

A. When you are fully content with the quoted trip package we require 20% trip in advance of the total amount. So, remaining trip balance you can pay USD/credit card before the start of the trip.

Q. What type of shape do I need to be for this trip?

A. This is suitable for average people who are in good health & moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required however to get condition for this trip, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, and hiking are recommended before you embark on a journey. A person who is suffering from pre-existing diseases must seek medical advice from a doctor before considering any trekking in Nepal. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.

Q. What is the best time for Trek?

A. We recommend you anytime between 15th February to 15th June in spring & 15th September to 10th December. Q. Is the food/water safe to drink during the trek?

A. During in mountain, your expert guide will advise you on what you should and shouldn’t eat and drink. The food at the places you will be staying is all safe to eat. Water you can buy bottled or bring along purification tablets. Every lodge/guest house also serves both boiled and filtered water on a cheaper price for you to treat accordingly.

Q. Do you offer Tailor-made trips?

A. Yes, we do offer tailor-made trips. However, if our set itinerary is not perfect for your holidays, in any case, please kindly drop a Message.

Q. Can I charge camera batteries along the trek? and how much?

A. Yes, in Most of the guest houses you can recharge your camera batteries along the trek approximately costs you USD 2-3 per hour.

Q. What is the weather & temperature like in the mountains?

A. Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are generally warm. There will be snow during December and February. It is important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions. Expect the unexpected! The temperature could be as high as 21 deg C to -10 deg C low.

Q. How much should I plan on spending for each meal not included in Kathmandu?
A. In Kathmandu, you can allocate US$ 10 – 15 per meal.

Q. Do you offer a luggage storage facility?

A. Of course! Nepal High Trek will provide you with luggage storage service and as well as every hotel in Kathmandu has safe luggage storage service free of cost.

Q. Do I need travel insurance?

A. It is compulsory !! Nepal High Trek cannot be held responsible or liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal luggage and belongings, nor can they be held liable for personal injury, accident, or illness. Please ensure that you have yourself and your belongings adequately insured before your departure. If you do not possess a policy, we can issue insurance at competitive rates, however, it would be better to purchase your policy locally as this will cover you for repatriation back to your home country.

Q. How can I book this trip?

A. When you confirm your trip, we need a photocopy of your passport and a 15% down payment of the total amount in advance for arrangements such as flight tickets, hotel booking, and permit process, and the balance you can make us upon your arrival in Kathmandu, for details information.

Q. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT?

A. Any cancellation by a Client must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company. The date on which the request to cancel is received by the Company or its Agents will determine the cancellation charge applicable. The cancellation charges are expressed hereafter as a percentage of the total tour price. Terms and conditions clarify the trip cancellation policy with a refundable process.

Our trip prices are in USD. If you are booking the trip with us and making payment in your local currency, then the same-day exchange rate set by Nepal’s Central Bank is applicable when converting your local currency into USD.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • To cancel your trip, please send us a valid written notice via email at least 20 days before the trip departure date. We can only process cancellations with proper notice and approval.
  • If you cancel your trip 20 days or more before the departure date, we will deduct 20% of the total trip price, and the remaining amount will be refunded to you.
  • However, if you cancel your trip with less than 20 days’ notice before the departure date, there will be a 100% charge, and there won’t be any refund (no refund policy). If you need to file a claim with your insurance company due to the cancellation, we can assist you by providing supporting documentation, such as a receipt for the funds paid.
  • You should provide us a completed booking form, a copy of your passport along with a 20% deposit of the total trip cost.
  • THE 20% DEPOSIT IS NONREFUNDABLE.
  • For Nepal trips, the remaining amount can be paid in USD cash/Credit card on your arrival day or pre-trip meeting at our office or hotel.
