The Nepal High Trek is a responsible trekking agency of Nepal. The agency always opts to provide or give back to the community where the agency earned money by organizing a trek or trip. Therefore, the agency formed a Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit organization established to conduct activities to help needy people uplift their life standard and offer them sustainable progress. CSR Works of Nepal High Trek to do that, the foundation has been working relentlessly in coming up with the programs that support communities in a sustainable way.

Travel  Together, Support Together

The Foundation is knitting lots of programs that aim to offer the needy people the way to survive in this world in a dignified way. We don’t intend to do the social works just to showcase that we are doing the corporate social responsibility rather we want to change the lives of people in a sustainable way. Therefore, our programs are related to empowering these marginalized people and showing them the new avenues as well as platform to flourish.

The best way to enhance the sustainable life standard is to empower people. For this, these people must get the opportunities and they must be sellable in the market. Therefore, the Nepal Help Foundation has identified two major areas to help them excel in their life. These areas are Tourism and Local Business.

Tourism and Hospitality Training

Nepal is a touristic country. In fact, Nepal High Trek‘s foundation is also running efficiently due to the contributions of tourism industry. There are countless possibilities in this area. Therefore, in near future, Nepal Help Foundation is trying to create the skilled people to serve the trekking and tour industry.

We are launching the following programs to create the competent workforce from the marginalized community of Nepal to work in the field of Nepal Tourism:

• Trekking Guide License Training
• English Language Training
• Basic Tourism and Hospitality Etiquette Training
• Basic Cooking Training

All these programs will be fully funded by Nepal Help Foundation. We plan to create at least 15 – 20 people every year as an assistant guide, guide, and porter to work in the tourism field. Our aim is to provide these people the opportunities to capitalize the vast possibilities of tourism industry. If they become accustomed to the Tourism industry, we believe that they will be able to lift their life standard to the next level.

Local Business and Handicraft Training

Our next target is to provide the ample amount of commercial training to these people about mobilizing local resources and finding market for the traditional craftsmanship products. If we become successful in this program, we believe that we will be able to create a sustainable earning platform for these marginalized people. Our aim is to eradicate the neediness from these people. We want these people to self-dependent and earn their living in a dignified manner sustainably.

Our major programs to achieve our target on this area are as follows:

• Wood Carving Training
• Knitting and Sewing Training
• Marketing Training
• Communication Skills enhancement training

While conducting these programs, we intend to support their daily lives. We intend to cover for all the expenses for them while learning these skill training so that they can fully immerse into the program that aims to make them sustainably self-sufficient.
