The permits requirement depends upon the type of the trekking route in Nepal. Some of the usual trekking permits are the conservation area permit, national park permit, restricted area permit, and local municipality entry permit. The cost of the conservation area and national park permit is NRs. 3000 to foreigners and NRs. 1500 to SAARC nationals. The local rural municipality entry permit starts from NRs. 1000 to NRs. 3000. For example, the Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entry permit costs NRs. 3000 whereas the cost of the Tsum Nubri Rural Municipality entry permit is NRs. 1000.
