Trek the trail of Everest Base Camp without doing acclimatization activities. For some travelers who have got previous high-altitude trekking and good lung capacity, the trip to Everest Base Camp Trek 10 Days is an ideal choice. You can save two days and it leads to a decrease in the cost of the trekking as well. To those people who have got previous trekking experience, the time they take to reach the overnight destination can help them get acclimatized.
Trekkers don’t do the acclimatization rest days but they do take part in the acclimatization activities. Immediately after reaching Namche Bazaar from Phakding or Monjo, they travel to Everest View Hotel which is at an altitude of 3800 m from the sea level. After exploring the place, they return back to Namche Bazaar at an altitude of 3440 m and stay overnight. Similarly, in Dingboche, they trek Nagarshan Hill (5100 m) and return back to stay overnight in Dingboche (4400 m).
The only difference is that trekkers don’t allocate an extra day for acclimatization rather they perform the acclimatizing activities on the same day they reach Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. By doing this, we intend to provide the safest short trekking in the Everest region of Nepal without the risk of altitude sickness.
For safety purposes and to fulfill the minimum requirement to get permission for trekking in Nepal, we request all our trekkers get travel insurance. Your insurance must cover emergency helicopter rescues, accidents, and medical expenses.
Trekkers take the scenic flight to the Lukla airport from Kathmandu. All the trekking crew members are assembled in the town and after a brief stop for coffee, trekking starts. It takes about 2 – 3 hours to reach the first overnight place at Phakding. The next day’s trekking is very scenic as trekkers enter the Sagarmatha National Park and witness Everest for the first time. Crossing the suspension bridges adds adventure to this day’s trekking. Namche Bazaar is another attraction of this day. The town has a plethora of eateries, shops, and lodges where trekkers can enjoy the majestic mountain sceneries as well as relax.
The following day, trekkers reach the magnificent spiritual hilltop village of Tengboche Monastery. The Tengboche monastery at the top of the hill offers spirituality and it lies at 3885m above sea level. Moreover, the view of lower Dudhkoshi Valley and Pangboche Valley looks spectacular. Additionally, the place is famous for the Mani Rimdu festival of the Sherpa people as well.
The trip extends further to Everest Base Camp via Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep. At an altitude of 5364 m from sea level, Everest Base Camp is the most coveted place on earth. It is the epitome of all the superlative trekking destinations of the world. Even more captivating is the sunrise experience from the top of Kalapathar (5545 m). The return journey is much easier as the altitude decreases the breathing becomes easy and trekkers tend to enjoy the view of the mountains more while descending than while ascending.

Trekking Region: Everest Region Nepal
Nearly all year round except for the monsoon-wet months of July to mid-September. The best and high time is in spring, most days are clear and fine for pleasant walks and views, and this is the time when wildflowers are in seasonal bloom. Especially the rhododendron of various different species from tall trees to the bush, as well as the national flower of Nepal.
Can get a cloudy afternoon with chances of rain and snow above 3,000 m higher. Cold in the morning and nighttime, longer days full of sunshine. The other best season is in autumn, where most days are crystal clear with blue sky, but shorter days are due to sunlight hours. Chances of snow sometimes at higher altitudes above 3,000 m. Interested people can visit during the winter times of December to February also, much clearer days with short sun-light hours and much colder with freezing temperatures around higher altitudes with chances of snowfall sometimes.
1st Day: Fly to Lukla 2, 846 m and trek to Phakding Village (2,645 m) – 03 hrs.
2nd Day: Phakding village to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11, 350 feet) – 07 hrs.
3rd Day: Namche to Tengboche Monastery (3,867 m) – 05 hrs.
4th Day: Tengboche Monastery to Dingboche (4,340 m) – 05 hrs.
5th Day : Dingboche to Lobuche (4,960 m) – 05 hrs.
6th Day: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) – 3hrs then Visit to EBC (5364m) – 04 hrs.
7th Day: In the early morning climb Kalapathar viewpoint (5,643 m / 18,514 feet) then trek to Pangboche (3, 900 m)- 6 hrs
8th Day: Panboche Village to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) – 07 hrs.
9th Day: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2, 846 m) – 07 hours.
10th Day: Fly back to Kathmandu- 30 m with an afternoon free at leisure.
Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for a short scenic flight to Lukla, on arrival at Lukla, received by our guide and staff. From Lukla head downhill to Dudh Koshi River valley, a lovely walk past several villages then reach at Phakding for overnight, in the comfort of a nice lovely lodge.
The second-day walk is quite long to Namche Bazaar, morning starts on an easy gradual trail above the river and crossing bridge to Monjo. A short distance walks to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, and then over a bridge to Jorsalle village for lunch. Afternoon walk on river bed within forest surroundings as climb leads towards the last high bridge. An uphill walk all the way to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stop, after a great exciting day trekking.
From Namche Bazaar adventure continues after a refreshing rest, head further north on a scenic trail. As climb takes you on top of Tengboche and the monastery is one of the most beautiful spot around the Himalayas. Tengboche offers a grandeur panorama of Everest, Ama Dablam with a series of high peaks amidst lovely green woodland. At Tengboche enjoy the tour of monastery impressive interior with giant idols of Buddha and other famous gurus.
After a scenic time and visiting the spiritual monastery, morning downhill walk on leaving the tall tree lines. As route leads uphill to Pangboche village with close views of stunning Ama Dablam peak. Walk further east to Dingboche, after having lunch at Somare, a beautiful valley of Imjatse where Dingboche is located. At Dingboche for overnight halt with views of Lhotse, Nuptse, Island peaks, and Ama Dablam.
Slowly adventure gets closer towards our final destinations, as morning leads up and then on gradual winding up to Thugla for lunch. From here a short steep climb and then on easy gradual up to Lobuche for an overnight stop before Everest base camp.
Finally, the adventure leads towards our main destination to Everest base camp, the walk follows on a wide valley, and then upon rocky trail above Khumbu Ice Fall. As walk heads down to a flat valley at Gorakshep, a small settlement with several lodges, located on route to the base camp and beneath the high hill of Kalapathar.
A walk of few hours over a boulder of rocks and glaciated path to Everest base camp, on reaching at base camp stand beneath towering peaks of Nuptse and Lhotse, the views of Everest can be seen only the tip of the summit. However, a great dramatic spot is enclosed by giant peaks close to massive Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers. Accomplishing the major goal and highlighting return back to Gorakshep for overnight stop, before heading downhill to Lukla.
Early morning climb to the top of Kalapathar, the highest point of the adventure, offers a mind-blowing panorama of surrounding giant peaks with Mt. Everest at the nearest distance. After an incredible scenery downhill to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue to walk downhill to Thugla. Where the trail of Dingboche and Pheriche splits, our route leads down to Pheriche windy valley and at the settlement of Pheriche with many nice lodges. From Pheriche after lunch downhill to Pangboche for an overnight halt with a stunning view of Ama Dablam at close distance.
Retrace the journey back to Namche Bazaar, walking up to Tengboche with down to Imjatse River with a short steep climb and then on a nice winding trail to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stop.
The last day walk of the adventure, morning from Namche Bazaar downhill to Dudh Koshi River, with few short ups and down past national park exit gate to Monjo and then towards Phakding village. After a refreshing stop at Phakding few hours walk with the last climb to Lukla, then end our great adventurous walk in the comfort of a nice lodge at Lukla.

The trekking permit and Khumbu entrance ticket will do arrange by Nepal High Trek & Expedition. Khumbu entrance tickets are provided by Pasang Lhamu Municipality at Lukla and the entrance ticket cost is Rs, 2000 for each person. EBC Trekking permit can buy at Sagarmatha National Park in Manju village. A permit cost is RS.3300 for each person except for the SAARC countries.

Nepal has typical monsoonal conditions with two seasons a year. Mid-September-mid December marks the start of the dry season, which in many ways is the best time of the year in Nepal. We highly recommend the spring and autumn seasons to do treks around Nepal
Mobile coverage and paying internet connection are accessible, not much mobile coverage in the Everest region but paying internet service available at each hotel throughout the trek. The Everest Link internet service is more strong and more reliable to use throughout the trek.
It is not recommended to consume direct tap water on the trek but you can use a water tablet or water pill. The guesthouse will offer purified boiled drinking water, but also available bottled mineral water along the trek.
Credit cards can be used in several places like Lukla, Namche Bazaar, and Dingboche. All major credit cards are accepted mentioned specific places so you may need cash for smaller expenses.
Above the 4000m, acute mountain sickness persecutes most trekkers on the trek but first of all, you must be prepared mentally and physically. When you started the trek you should eat enough food, hot drinks, and soups and must drink 3 liters of water each day. Avoid alcohol, and smoking, and use the Diamox from above the 3000m. Moreover, acclimatization is very crucial for a buddy and very helpful to complete the trek without AMS.

There are always solo travelers on our treks. If you don’t mind being roomed with another single traveler of the same gender in a hectic season, then you do not need to pay the supplement. Single supplement is for travelers who would like to stay in a single room for the duration of their trek to Everest Base Camp.
The difficulty level of the Everest Base Camp is moderate with altitude trek and the trekking duration often requires 12 to 14 days from Kathmandu. Even though the EBC Trek requires no prior trekking expertise, it is suggested that the trekker should be determined and be physically fit. The trek leads you to a maximum of 5545m, at Kalapathar. The trek is quite a high-altitude trek than other popular treks but the trekking trail is wide and safe. Despite the high altitude, we can easily complete the ABC trek but you must eat well,
If you are planning to do the EBC Trek in near the future usually not necessary to hard train. But before trekking to Nepal, you must do a normal hike and keep fit physically in your place. If you are physically and mentally prepared for the trip definitely you can complete the trek.
