Trip Overview

Nepal High Trek & Expedition has been leading the offering of tandem flights, instruction, and flying tours in the Annapurna region of Nepal since 1995. As the most experienced Paragliding in Nepal, we are unrivaled in our knowledge of paragliding conditions, sites, and local cultures.

We offer tandem flights throughout the year, and courses, training & guiding over the winter months. The main area for paragliding is Sarangkot in the Pokhara Valley, a site that offers spectacular views of three 8,000m peaks Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu, and friendly and constant conditions for paragliding. Paragliding in Nepal can be a truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for adventure sports in Nepal. A trip will take you over some of the best scenery on earth, as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, and kites and float over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes, and jungle, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas.

Gliding is a weather-dependent sport and the flying season in Nepal commences from November through till February, the best months being November and December. The takes off point for these flights is Sarankot (1595m.), which also offers prime views of Fewa Lake and Annapurna range at sunrise and sunset (provided the skies are clear) and the landing is by the Fewa lake. No previous experience is required as qualified pilots provide a short briefing before launching.
