Trip overview

Cho Oyu Expedition in Nepal is a very beautiful and challenging climb in Nepal. For anyone who has ever dreamed of climbing one of the world’s 6th highest 8201-meter mountains. The Cho Oyu offers you a lifetime experience and a challenging journey in Nepa. Despite being the 6th highest mountain on the planet, Cho Oyu has the highest success rate among the world’s fourteen 8,201meter Himalayan peaks. The way to ascent to the summit is short and direct with a few small technical sections.  It can be climbed safely using fixed lines.

An iconic Expedition Combined the world’s legendary Climbers

The normal route may not be called a technically difficult and riskier climb. Also, every climb is very challenging and very tough to complete summit. However,  Cho Oyu is still a demanding undertaking climbing and it’s one of the highest peaks on earth. Cho Oyu Expedition in Nepal is very interesting and the hardest climbing in Nepal. It’s hard to climb but a thrilling adventure to explore high mountains, the world’s highest glacier, and the Himalayas.

Experience an adventure of the world’s 6th Tallest Peak

However, Cho Oyu Mountain lies around 61 km north part of Mount Everest in Nepal. The mountain is also known as Mount Chhowuyag and is situated in the middle section of the Himalayas. An Austrian team first climbed Cho Oyu in 1954 followed by the Indian and German teams in 1958 and 1964 respectively. Cho Oyu consists mainly of five ridges – Northwest, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and West with the Jabula Glacier on the north, Lanba Glacier on the south, and Georgia Glacier. Lastly, the Cho Oyu expedition is the third most popular climbing after the Kanchenjunga Expedition and the Everest expedition in Nepal.
