In the morning after an early breakfast, and then depart for Langtang Valley trekking towards Nepal Central Himalayas around the district of Rasuwa. An interesting overland journey of 5-6 hours. Drive follows on winding uphill through many farm villages and towns, reaching Dhunche town for an overnight stop. Dhunche, headquarters of Rasuwa district and the entry point of Langtang National Park.
On leaving Dhunche town, walk to a river after crossing a small bridge and climb on a steep forested path. As an uphill walk continues within a cool woodland lined by tall pine and rhododendron trees. Then finally reached the overnight stop at Sing Gompa. A small and neat-looking village also called as Chandanbari means a place for sandalwood. After getting organized in a nice lodge, visit the Monastery, located on the top of the small village.
Today’s walk leads towards our final destination at Gosainkund, enjoy the morning walk with a short steep climb. Overlooking panorama of Langtang, Ganesh, and Manaslu Himalayas as far as towards Annapurna Himalaya range. A pleasant walk in a dense forest, soon leaving the tree lines behind as climb starts reaching Laurabinaya high hilltop. From here a short downhill towards Bhairab and Saraswati Kund / ponds with a short climb to Gosainkund.
At Gosainkund overnight in a simple lodge above the holy glacial pond of Gosainkund. Enjoy the afternoon exploring around the large pond, almost a size of a lake with a shrine of Lord Shiva. A Hindu God, as this area is regarded as a holy site for all Hindus as well for some Buddhist religions.
From Gosainkund, a morning walk leads across the holy pond, and then the climb starts to a high ridge. On reaching the top of Gosiankund and East Laurabina-La, facing glorious views of the surrounding scenery.
A long descent to the base of the pass at Phedi, a place with few small shops and tea houses. After a refreshing rest trek continues back into the forest, then reaches our overnight stop at Ghopte Odar. A small place with simple huts serving as a lodge, the word Ghopte Odar means an overhanging cave.
After Ghopte Odar, walk for a few hours into a forest and then come to an open area. Where climb leads to a high ridge at Thade Patti for a possible lunch stop, a small settlement. Having several simple tea-house and shades, which is on route to the Helambu region. After a nice rest facing wonderful views of snow peaks, continue to walk downhill into lovely pines and rhododendron forest. Then ending the day walk reaching Kutumsang for an overnight stop in the comfort of a nice simple lodge.
Leaving Kutumsang, the walk leads on a high ridge with a few ups and down to another lovely village of Gul Bhanjyang. From here downhill to Pati Bhanjyang, a nice small farm village, and then a short climb to Chisapani. A scenic spot with a number of nice lodges and guest houses, located atop northeast of Kathmandu valley. From Chisapani enjoy a sunset view over an array of snow peaks of Langtang and JugalHimal towards the north. Includes Ganesh and Manaslu Himalayas in the west, at Chisapani enjoy the last overnight on the hills of the Himalayas.
Last day walk of the adventure, early morning enjoy the stunning sunrise views, having breakfast on a downhill trail. Walk into the forested path to Burlang Bhanjyang a nice farm village of the Tamang community. From here downhill continues to a lovely spot of Sundarijal, a place with fresh running streams and waterfalls. The walk leads to a nice forest surrounding and descent to a farm town of Sundarijal. Where our trek ends, then take a short drive to the inner city of Kathmandu and then back to your hotel. Rest of the day enjoy the afternoon at leisure for individual activities and shopping for souvenirs.
