Today, we will visit various UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES of Kathmandu and Patan. On this day we will skip the visit of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Instead, we will visit places like Swyambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, and Patan Durbar Square before heading to Nagarkot! Day 5 (27 December) = Bird Watching Tour; Chitwan Jungle Safari; Evening Fun in Sauraha on the banks of Narayani River

Bird watching guide will take us for refreshing bird watching tour. We can spot local and migrating birds while on this tour. We will also visit the crocodile breeding center and again return back to hotel for lunch. After lunch we will do Chitwan Jungle Safari either by riding an elephant or by using jeep. The park is famous for Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Buffaloes, deer, monkey, and one horned rhinoceros. Day 6 (28 December) = Drive to Pokhara; Evening Aarati (Prayer) in Lakeside near Talbarahi Temple

We will take a private vehicle to Pokhara. On the way we will enjoy our fish lunch at Mugling overlooking two beautiful bridges over the Marshyangdi and Trishuli River. Upon arrival in Pokhara after check in we will visit Lakeside to observe prayer ceremony also known as the Aarati in front of Talbarahi Temple. This is so illustrious and spiritual. Regardless of religious background, the Aarati session is very interesting thing to observe.

3 Days Poon Hill Trek from Pokhara

Day 7 (December 29) = Pokhara Sightseeing after Sunrise at Sarangkot

Sunrise from Sarangkot is beautiful. Early in the morning we will head to the top of Sarangkot Hill. From this famous vantage point, we can get the picturesque view of mountains like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and others. After arriving in hotel for breakfast we will start our Pokhara sightseeing. Major places to do sight seeing are Pumdikot Shiva Statue, World Peace Pagoda, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, and Mountain Museum. Day 8 (December 30) = Drive to Tikhedhunga; Trek to Ulleri

Lunch will be at Tikhedhunga, upon crossing the suspension bridge we will trek uphill to Ulleri. It is time to bond together by supporting each other. For next two days we will be walking uphill through green lush forests and small hamlets.

Day 9 (December 31) = Trek to Ghorepani

Today’s trek is uphill all the way to Ghorepani village. The trail is well organized through green lush forests. There are many streams and grassy meadows too. This is one of the most interesting day of trekking on this trip. We will encounter diverse flora and fauna while trekking uphill. Once we reach Ghorepani village, we will be welcomed by the picturesque scenery of mountains. It is truly a blissful place to spend New Year’s Eve!

Day 10 (1st January) = Poon Hill Sunrise; Trek to Tadapani

Start the new year by kissing the first sun rays coming out of the casement of the Himalayas. Yes, after about 45 minutes of hike from Ghorepani, we will reach Poon Hill (3210 m). This is the most panoramic vantage point. Remember that this place is also one of the place within the famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek route. After breakfast in the hotel, we will head towards Tadapani.

Day 11 (2nd January) = Trek to Ghandruk

Ghandruk is the first model Home Stay village of Nepal. The majority of people living in this village are either Gurung or Magar. Therefore, staying in this village means that you will get chance to mingle with these people and know their traditions and culture. In the evening we will dance together in their folk songs. This is the last day of trekking therefore we will bid farewell to trekking crew members. Day 12 (3rd January) = Drive to Pokhara

Day 13 (4th January) = Drive to Kathmandu; Farewell Dinner in Nepalese Cultural Restaurant
