We travel in a Prithivi Highway until we reach Malekhu and continue the Kalu Pandey Highway before meeting the Larke La Pass Highway in Aarughat. We will have lunch on the way and continue the jeep drive. Until Aarughat, the road condition is well tarred and comfortable. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will be walking on a road for about 1 hour. So, expect easy trekking. After the road trail, we will walk on the gradual Nepalese flat trail which is slightly narrower along the banks of Budi Gandaki River. On the way to Deng, we will stop for lunch in Chisapani Village which is located in the small valley from where you can get sight of gigantic hills. We will restart the trek after lunch and continue the journey. The trail is completely gradual flat along the banks of river. We have to cross the river by using suspension bridges in today’s journey. Overnight in a tea house.
We will begin our trek after breakfast. The first phase of trekking for about 1 hour is in the Nepalese gentle flat trail. We will have to trek uphill for about another 1 hour before reaching the ridge top and continue on the gradual uphill trail. Lunch will be in the Ghap Village. This is an authentic village and it is also in the crossroad between the regular Manaslu Circuit Trek and the Serang Gompa route. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Namrung. The hardest section on this day’s trek is when we trek steep uphill after walking for about 1 hour from Ghap village. The Namrung village is the second biggest village in this trekking route. After breakfast, we will begin our journey to one of the most beautiful villages on the Manaslu Circuit Trek route, the Shyala Village. Beginning of the trek for about half an hour is on the Nepalese gentle flat followed by one hour steep uphill trail until we reach the lunch stop place in Lho Village. Today’s trek is very scenic as we go through different types of chortens and small monasteries. The Mane Wheels’ sound and the breeze that we feel today seem spiritual. We get to see the sight of the mountains more clearly on this day. We walk on the gradual inclined uphill trail for about 2 hours after lunch to reach the Shyala Village. In the evening, you can visit the iconic monastery and offer your prayers. The sight of the sun setting in the backdrop of the monastery is so iconic sight to capture. Early in the morning, we will start our trek from near the Shyala Monastery. After walking for about 1.5 hours to 2 hours, we will leave the main trail and trek uphill towards the Pungyen Monastery. We walk through the rugged trail full of boulders towards the monastery. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the monastery. We will spend 15 to 30 minutes in the monastery and then retrace the same trail back to the main route to continue our journey to Samagaon. Upon reaching the Samagaon Village, we will have lunch. Today is the day of acclimatization hike to Manaslu Base Camp. We start the trek after having breakfast in our tea house. Your trekking guide and porter will carry the packed lunch. After walking for about 45 minutes, we will reach the beautiful Birendra Lake. We will spend about 15 to 20 minutes on the shores of the lake. It is truly a beautiful lake in the foothill of the snow - capped mountains. We will then begin the challenging uphill trail all the way to Manaslu Base Camp. Gear up for tiring uphill trek to the base camp. The sight of the lake and surrounding mountains from the trail is so majestic and helps us to forget tiredness. Today’s trek is the shortest one and we trek on the gentle Nepalese flat along the way enjoying the sight of pine tree forests. It is not dense forests but scattered vegetation is the feature of today’s trek. The tree lines start to disappear as we trek higher. After reaching the Samdo village, we will have lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon, you can stroll around the village or reach the Samdo Ri top for acclimatization purpose or simply rest in the tea house. Overnight in a tea house.
Early in the morning we will have breakfast and start our trek to the Tibetan Border. Expect lots of boulders and rugged trail. The uphill sections are challenging and the altitude also make it harder for trekkers. Once we reach the border top, you can get unmatched scenery of the Tibetan Rocky Mountain, and highland deserts. We will begin the trek after breakfast. Today’s trek is on the Himalayan landscape through narrow valley overlooking mountains and gigantic hills. Upon reaching the Dharmasala, we will have lunch and rest for a while before exploring the nearby hills for acclimatization purpose. Finally, today is the day of crossing the Larke La Pass. We will have early morning breakfast and begin the trek around 4 am in the morning. It’s truly enticing as we wait for the morning light to come. As we approach the Larke La Pass top, we get to enjoy the majestic sunrise on the way. There are lots of small flags which we will follow to safely reach the top. Don’t go far away from your trekking guide or from your group especially during the Larke La Pass crossing. We will spend about 15 to 20 minutes at the top of the pass taking pictures and making memories. The downhill trek starts from the top of the pass. Early in the morning, we will have breakfast and continue the trek towards the village of Tilje. We walk through the green lush forests and upon reaching the village, we will have lunch before driving to Besisahar. The road is bumpy and it takes about 3 hours to reach Besisahar. We will celebrate with our trekking crew members in our lodge in Besisahar after the successful completion of the trek. Today is the last day of the trekking. We will also part ways with the local porters. Overnight in a lodge or tea house.
