Yes, you need proper travel insurance for any kinds of trekking activities in Nepal. The insurance of the trekking crew members is done by the Nepal High Trek and the personal insurance must be done before the trip. You must send the copy of the insurance plan to our city office. We will activate the insurance plan in case of emergencies and evacuate you to safety. Nepal government has mandatory regulation about the travel insurance. Make sure that you obtain the insurance plan from the reputed international insurance company and your plan must include the emergency helicopter rescue from the trekking trail.
